San Diego Sunshine

Standing gloriously at water's edge, the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina offers commendable service in a lush resort setting and an atmosphere that lends itself beautifully to a business trip with the kids or a family vacation. San Diego, “America’s finest city”, is known for  year round sunshine, miles of white-sand beaches, laid-back friendliness, and a rich history and Hispanic culture.  With this hotel’s ideal location adjoining the Convention Center and Seaport Village, you are close to many of  the city’s popular attractions and landmarks. Read more!

There are many reasons why San Diego is consistently rated one of the top family travel destinations in North America. The nation's seventh largest city and California's second, San Diego is the ideal destination for families with children of all ages, offering a variety of family-friendly activities, world-class attractions and special events throughout the year.

Anaheim is most famous as the home of Disneyland, the first Disney theme park and "The Happiest Place on Earth," but there's even more fun to be found in this beautiful city. Anaheim is also host to numerous other parks and attractions including Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood, and SeaWorld.

If there was one word to describe Los Angeles it would have to be diverse; for diversity is not only a characteristic of Los Angeles' geography, but it also describes the people who call it home. It is famous for Mann's Chinese Theater which provides for an interesting outing, while Rodeo Drive showcases the latest trends. No matter where you travel in the Los Angeles area, there's something exciting to do or see.

Sacramento is not only the capital of the largest state in the Union, but also a unique historical and cultural center. This city has a pioneer feel, particularly in some of the museums and in its capitol building. Sacramento is often overlooked during visits to California, but surely it would be a mistake to miss visiting such a historic and friendly city.

From its world famous zoo and aquarium to its bountiful beaches, San Diego's vibrant and exciting lifestyle has plenty to offer visitors and their entire family. It's the kind of city where every day is a beach day, and where everyone is busy having as much fun as possible. San Diego is probably one of the most pedestrian friendly cities in America.

Ever since gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill in 1848, visitors from all over the world have flocked to San Francisco. Today, it's still possible to find gold in the "City on the Bay" in its numerous restaurants, beautiful neighborhoods, and world-class cultural attractions. San Francisco hosts a number of national landmarks, from the famous Telegraph Hill and old-fashioned trolley cars to the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, that help make any trip special. For a few lucky miners, San Francisco in the 19th century was the gateway to an unforgettable experience. Today's visitors to the Bay Area feel the same way.

Santa Barbara is alive with youthful energy with an atmosphere of casual sophistication and charm. The city rests on a narrow shelf between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific coast. It is one of southern California's foremost vacation areas. The beach is beautiful, the weather almost always perfect, and the people friendly. Many vacationers rent bikes or blades and travel up and down the beachfront path along Cabrillo Boulevard.
