Ruby's Red Canyon Horseback Rides
A FamilyTravel.com Favorite

Pam Plesons

We had a wonderful and informative horseback ride through the Red Canyon, just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park. Ruby's Red Canyon Horseback Rides is conveniently located in the lobby of Ruby's Inn. We were able to make same day reservations for a 1-½ hour excursion. Our guides were skilled with the horses, knowledgeable about the area, and most importantly, wonderful with our children. Even our 7-year-old son lost his riding jitters in just a few minutes with the attentive assurance of our guides.

We rode through the Red Canyon on trails that crossed streams and wound through "hoo doos" (the fantastic rock formations) and ponderosa pines. We even saw remnants of a structure allegedly used by the outlaw, Butch Cassidy. This trip was the perfect adventure for our 7 and 9-year-old children.

Ruby's Red Canyon Horseback Rides offers 1-½ hour rides and ½ day rides for riders 7 years and older. They also have all day rides for riders 10 years and older, a Thunder Mountain Ride for experienced riders only, and other adventure packages. There is something for every age and experience. This adventure got a "thumbs up" from the whole family!
